Hey! It’s Ana, the Pet Photographer!

Growing up, we had many kinds of pets in our home, including a deer (briefly), chickens, an owl, rats, a buffalo, cats, dogs and, occasionally, an abandoned baby bird (including the owl) or baby squirrel that we helped rehabilitate. I have (almost) never been without one or the other kind of animal by my side. This life long proximity to animals has, in part, helped shape who I am today and has taught me some very valuable life lessons; Respect, Patience and an “it-could-have-been-worse” attitude being amongst the most important.

I wanted to be a Veterinarian but life had other plans for me. I studied Interior Design instead and worked in that field for 6 years in India and Germany before marrying the love of my life and moving to the USA. We adopted Danica soon after and I ended up doing what I always wanted to do, even though it wasn’t exactly how I thought I was going to do it. Working with and helping animals.

I have been involved in animal rescue ever since we adopted Danica from Legacy Boxer Rescue in 2011. My passion for pet photography began with our first foster, Pink, and I’ve been in business as a professional Pet Photographer since 2013. With a background in Interior Design and a LOT of experience photographing adoptable pets with a wide variety of personalities, I am able to create beautiful artwork that captures what you love most about your pet.

When I’m not photographing animals or helping a shelter or rescue, you can find me making things. I love to knit, make stuffed toys and craft with, and for, my daughter. I also sew the bow ties and craft the flower ties I use for my shoots. I love learning new software and designing websites, like the one I did for Lucky’s Crew Animal Rescue . And, if I ever have some time to spare, I really enjoy playing video games.
